Thank you Paul for organizing such a great weekend.  The kids really played well.  The Red Wings night, playing at the Joe Louis Arena, even the breakfast at the hotel were all huge successes.
Thanks,

Wolverine Cup update!

December 1, 2009

The Terriers had an excellent tournament in Brighton, Michigan Nov 27th weekend.  The Terriers had two wins and 1 loss in the the round robin.  In the semi-final, they lost 3-2 to Newmarket and ended up with 2 wins and 2 losses, with 12 goals for and 10 goals against.  In the semi-final game, the Terriers out played and out chanced the Redmen, hitting the post 3 times.

The Terriers were thrilled to experience Joe Louis Arena as both players and fans.  On Friday, the Terriers had dinner at HockeyTown Sports Cafe and then shuttled over to Joe Louis Arena to watch the Red Wings play the Calgary Flames.  Flames won 3-0.  On Saturday, the Terriers played at Joe Louis Arena, beating the Orangeville Flyers 4-1.  The whole experience, driving to Joe Louis Arena, parking in our designated area, being escorted inside the arena to the change rooms, seeing all of the history, banners, awards etc…, warming up where the Red Wings warm up, walking in the corridors that the Red Wings walk, skating on the ice, pre-game center ice photo, the game, the score….. an experience that will last a lifetime!

Thanks to our manager, Paul Legere for all of the hard work organizing this tournament!

Terrier’s Players select Captains!

October 18, 2009

The Terriers’ players have selected their captains for this season.  It was a close race….the captains are:

Captain:  Taylor P.

Alternate Captains Home:  Curtis L.,  Brendan M.

Alternate Captains Away:  Michael H., Michael D

As the coaches, it really doesn’t matter who the captains are as we look to all of the players to contribute to the success of our hockey club.
Hope everyone had fun selecting their Captains!
